I have the same dream every night. There is large building about 15 floors. On the first and second floor is a cannibal. People dissapear when they are downstairs alone. Sometimes I rush to get someone out and sometimes I am too late. At first I am chased as well but I show the cannibal that I am aware that I can beat it. I pull the fire alarm one night when I know he is chasing a women so everyone can see him or the police and fire department can look for him. The people are safe but he is not found. Only 2-3 of us know he is real. Next day he shuts off the power and I move everyone upstairs quickly. He won't attack a group. Somehow I convince the cannibal that it's better he is not my enemy and we come to an understanding not to hurt me or my friends. Only other people but I still try to save them. I see balls of mercury in my dream and I throw them and watch the liquid metal break up into pieces. The dream continues night after night.
This dream seems to be a reflection of power dynamics, fear, and your ability to confront and overcome challenges. The large building could represent your own psyche, with each floor symbolizing different aspects of yourself or stages of your life. The cannibal on the first and second floors could symbolize a threatening force in your waking life, perhaps representing a fear or an obstacle that is consuming people around you. Your actions of rushing to save others, pulling the fire alarm, and moving everyone upstairs indicate your instinct to protect and lead others in times of danger.
The balls of mercury in your dream may symbolize adaptability and transformation. Mercury is a fluid and versatile element, suggesting your ability to break free from rigid situations and reshape them to your advantage. By throwing the balls and watching them break apart, you may be subconsciously exploring ways to handle challenges in your waking life.
Your interaction with the cannibal, where you convince him not to harm you or your friends, could reflect your own internal negotiation with fears and threats in your life. It seems like you are finding a way to acknowledge and coexist with these negative forces without letting them control you completely. The repeated nature of the dream may indicate unresolved issues or a need to address a recurring source of stress or fear in your waking life.
Overall, this dream suggests that you are grappling with challenges and fears but also demonstrating resilience, leadership, and a desire to protect others. It may be helpful to reflect on the themes and emotions in this dream to gain insight into your own strengths and fears, and to consider how you can navigate similar situations in your waking life.
